Our former President and his wife did a really great job of looking like the perfect couple. They held hands and whispered to one another, they gave each other knowing glances at just the right times and showed a solid, united front when it came to raising their two girls. Their relationship is lauded as being one that we should all aspire to, and maybe it is. Maybe these two have been head over heels since their first date and the rest, as they say, was history.
Here’s what we do know though; there are a lot of rumors about their family, some confirmable, and some not. But we should just listen to what the Obama’s have to say about the subject, right? Well, we could if they weren’t confirmed, liars. I guess you still could, but that would make you a glutton for punishment. If the last eight years have taught us anything, it’s that the Obamas are some smooth criminals, and there’s not much that can break that picture perfect facade. Not much, except and extreme and un camouflageable hatred.
The Obama’s consider themselves to have done great things, and to have lifted the reputation of the White House. Mostly because they’re black, but I guess partly because of policy. This couple, from a party that claims to abhor racism, considers their race to have brought hope and change to the nation. If you don’t believe me, feel free to listen in to Michelle’s final interview as the First Lady of the United States. She gave this interview to her friend Oprah, and it’s very revealing about what she thought their legacy would be.
However, that supposed hope obviously doesn’t carry over well to her life post-White House. Michelle who supposedly always “goes high” has had a few down and dirty words for our current Commander-in-Chief.
Via American News:
“According to a new Vanity Fair piece on Michelle Obama, the former First Lady has made a habit of bashing President Donald Trump behind closed doors. She was reportedly so angry about him winning the election that she told her friends she would go into mourning for the next few years by wearing only black. That doesn’t exactly sound like “going high” to us.
‘I’m going all black for the next couple of years,’ Michelle confided in her friend, adding that she would call it, ‘the black series.’
Michelle’s hatred toward Trump only escalated when the president announced to get rid of her failed National School Lunch Plan. When that decision was made, Michelle spoke out publicly against Trump—though she refused to say his actual name.
‘We gotta make sure we don’t let anybody take us back. This is where you really have to look at motives, you know,’ Michelle said. ‘You have stop and think, ‘Why don’t you want our kids to have good food at school? What is wrong with you?’ And why is that a partisan issue? Why would that be political? What is going on?’
‘Moms, think about this. I don’t care what state you live in. Take me out of the equation; like me, don’t like me, but think about why someone is O.K. with your kids eating crap. Why would you celebrate that? Why would you sit idly and be O.K. with that? Because here’s the secret: if someone is doing that, they don’t care about your kid,’ she added.”
It’s understandable that she’d be kind of upset that her school lunch program is getting the boot. But you’d think that she would be glad that students for years to come wouldn’t be blaming her for their awful mid-day fair. Her program was a complete and utter failure, and while she may have had the best of intentions, her implementation was atrocious and displayed her complete lack of understanding of the system.
Michelle may be suffering from post-first lady withdrawal syndrome, but the woman has nothing of value to say against the President, except that he kicked her husband out of office. I guess if Clinton 2.0 had made it into office she would have felt more welcome at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. But regardless, this is how the system works; winner takes all, loser packs up and goes home.
And what a beautiful farewell it was. Sorry, you’re upset Michelle, maybe go tell a shrink instead of the news media.
