Country star Miranda Lambert has never been afraid to speak her mind—especially as it pertains to her love of guns. All you need to do is listen to her hit “Gunpowder and Lead” and you’ll know where she stands.
Lambert will not apologize for carrying a weapon, either. It is a decision she made after receiving death threats. She wants to be able to protect herself.
In a cover issue of Self, Lambert came forward with a list of 15 things she will not apologize for, and utilizing her second amendment rights is one of them.
“I carry a weapon,” Lambert told the magazine. “I got a death threat a few years ago and was really scared. But I don’t want bodyguards. I am my own security.”
