And BOOM! Just like that, the Colin Kaepernick plague as infected another idiot…and the NBA is now infected. This time however, it’s different from what you are used to seeing in the NFL with all those self-centered numbskulls that take a knee.
This time it was the person singing the national anthem that took a knee..when this singer, Denasia Lawrence came out on the court, she already knew exactly what she was going to do.
She planned to take the opportunity she received to sing the national anthem at a NBA game, and disrespect the country that provides her with all her needs, including freedoms that you cannot find anywhere else in the world.
She even took it one step further…when right before she took knee she revealed a hidden shirt. On that shirt were the words captioned: Black Lives Matter.
However, believe it or not, that was just the opening act.
After revealing her oh so clever Black Lives Matter t-shirt, the woman took a knee while singing the National Anthem.
Watch this…but prepare to be livid. It’s disgusting.

After the fact, fans wanted to know if the Miami Heat had anything to do with this ridiculous act. They stated, they did not.
Of course, Lawrence didn’t get away with it clean…she had the audacity to call herself a fighter, and a veteran responded.

You should probably read what she has to say about her stunt too…
“When I took the opportunity to sing the national anthem at the Heat game, it was bigger than me. Right now, we’re seeing a war on Black & Brown bodies— we’re being unjustly killed and overly criminalized.
I took the opportunity to sing AND kneel; to show that we belong in this country AND that we have the right to respectfully protest injustices against us. I took the opportunity to sing AND kneel to show that, I too, am America.
As a social worker, I’ve worked with youth, families and veterans, and every day they all teach me the value of fighting against injustice — that all are treated equally no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, or physical abilities.
I didn’t get paid to sing the national anthem; nor was this moment about any sort of fame. Black Lives Matter is far larger than a hashtag, it’s a rallying cry. And until our cry is rightfully heard, protests will still happen and demands will still be made!”
I’m sorry but they keep saying they have the right to protest…which is true. However, exactly what is this nonsense type of protesting doing for them? Nothing…except pissing people off due to the utter disrespect of it all…and it having NOTHING to do with their claimed cause.
So…no matter what you say Ms. Lawrence, you did this for your 15 minutes, because from the beginning you knew it would fix nothing.
