From Right Scoop: While many believed that el Trumpo was finally going to start sinking after a few polls showed him slipping, more polling have him holding his large double-digit lead over his nearest competitor, Ben Carson.
In the race for the Republican presidential nomination, a new Reuters poll finds Donald Trump still leads Carly Fiorina, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — combined.
The poll found Trump, who is number one in the Washington Examiner‘s presidential power rankings, continues to hold his significant lead, with 29 percent of Republican voters saying they favor him. He is followed by Ben Carson, who held 18 percent support; Bush at 10 percent; Rubio at 8 percent; and Fiorina at 6 percent.
Despite Trump’s significant lead, members of the media have remained undeterred in their speculation on when Trump will exit the race. The New York Times reported on Friday that “leading national Republicans” believe “Mr. Trump will look for a face-saving way out at some point.”
The Donald has been mocking and deriding the press for asking him if he has an exit strategy when, as he says, “ALL THE POLLS have me leading!!!” We’ll see if that holds!
