Colin Kaepernick has become nothing more than the laughing stock of the NFL, and now he is paying the price for his overly arrogant ways.
There are at least SEVEN National Football League executives that have expressed extreme anger about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s blatant disregard for the national anthem, and the untold numbers of Americans who have laid down their lives for the freedoms he takes for granted.
One executive expressed his blunt opinion: “I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” “He’s a traitor.”
Similar sentiments were said by the other executives, the real kicker… most football fans feel the same way. According to Reuters, “While Kaepernick has inspired other players to refuse to stand during the national anthem, 72 percent of Americans said they thought it was unpatriotic.Even so, 64 percent of respondents said they felt the quarterback had the right to protest under the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech.”
In fact, some fans are going to be exercising their own free speech rights in protesting against Kaepernick. The hashtag #BoycottNFL began trending on social media where it remained on Twitter’s top 10 trending topics Friday.
As Joe For America reported:
Thursday night Denver Broncos player Brandon Marshall became the latest player to bow out and take a knee during the anthem. His protest came mere hours after Seattle Seahawks players threatened a team-wide protest for their game on Sept. 11.
These incidences were the last straw for many, soon after the #BoycottNFL went viral on social media.
If that wasn’t bad enough they shock us yet again by saying that they have intentions of boycotting the national anthem during an upcoming game, with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, September 11!! The anniversary of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil, what a serious slap in the face!
Several hours after the team announced that they would be sitting out of the Anthem on 9/11 receiver Doug Baldwin redacted the plans boycott. They must have received to much backlash from their “adoring” fans…
This is how voicing your opinion should work in America. We all have a right to voice our mind, and neither Colin Kaepernick, nor his critics, should have that voice silenced. Good ideas always win out in the end.
