While Colin Kaepernick is acting like a fool in front of the entire nation, here’s a fella who shows him up 10 fold!
Veteran Baltimore Ravens tight end, Benjamin Watson has no idea if he’ll be able to play football again after injuring himself in a pre-season game. However, what he does know is how he feels about our National Anthem, and what Kaepernick has chosen to do each time it plays.
Naturally, he wanted to share his thoughts to combat the stupidity of it all and wrote up a post to Facebook that really drives it home on the controversy surrounding his fellow disrespectful NFL player.
What he wrote, is not a bunch of comments against Kaepernick, or random name calling and character bashing. He didn’t need to do all that. What he did do though, was set the example by sharing HIS respect for the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ and why the song means so much to him.
It’s profound, and it’s beautiful. Absolutely worth the read, and worthy of the share button.
I will not have the opportunity to kneel this Sunday when the National Anthem is being played…https://t.co/rY4sIUu1Rb

Watson just did Kaepernick a solid with this post. It’s coming from someone who believes differently but is also able to fully recognize and acknowledge Kaepernick’s stance. That’s creating a space for discussion, and understanding.
Well done Watson.
The best way to lead, is to lead by example. Unfortunately when you’re dealing with ‘stupid’ engaging to win a battle, is the last thing you should do. That is how you can guarantee a loss.
The thing with ‘stupid’ people… is once you engage, all they do is drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
What Watson did, is far more effective than any Colin Kaepernick jersey burning.
However…the jersey burning DOES come with a pretty sweet feeling of RETRIBUTION!
Just saying…don’t ask me how I know.
