Baltimore Ravens star tight end, Ben Watson sat down to an interview with Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center. In the interview he stated that Planned Parenthood’s original mission, as we have heard, was to ‘exterminate blacks’ he also admitted..that it was working.
“(A)bortion saddens me period, but it seems to be something that is really pushed on minorities and provided to minorities especially as something that they should do,” Watson said.
This he says is because Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, is a notorious racist and thought that babies deemed ‘unfit’ for life, should be aborted.
“We sit here and talk about advancing the black agenda, whatever that means, we talk about our interests, and what’s important to us — like having political power and advancement and all those things — and then we are turning around and we are killing our children,” Watson said. “And we are buying the lie that it’s our personal decision to make.”
He, himself, is a father of five and says that men need to step up their game. That they need to support women through the physical changes of the pregnancy, and be there to provide for them both emotionally and financially and that it should be done together.
Watson believes as much as he has had a role in making his children come into existence in the first place, it takes both of them to see it the whole way through.
Of course as it is with good men, this isn’t the first that Watson has taken a brave stance against abortion.
When the Center for Medical Progress videos were first released last year, one by one, and the world looked on in horror as it was proven that Planned Parenthood had sold fetal tissue, Watson took to facebook with his post:
“As horrific as it is, the issue isn’t really the sale of human parts. It’s the legal practice that allows this to even be a possibility. Killing children and simply discarding the leftovers is not any more acceptable than profiting off of them.”
Despite the certainty of backlash that Watson will face for his stance on abortion as a public figure, he is a man of God and as such he did share that although he is not totally unafraid of anyone and anything that might attack him as a result… he has still decided to take this stand.
Why? Well he said it best…
“I decided that you know, if the spirit of God has prompted me to say something, I’m gonna trust in God and say it.”
