Nine-Year-Old Banned From Wearing Donald Trump Hat To School

A California third grader has been banned from wearing a Donald Trump hat to school that says “Make America Great Again.” The boy wore it for three days in a row, each day being confronted by his classmates about it. He was forced to leave school early because officials said that it was causing a safety concern. Later he was asked to not wear it to school because of the problem it was causing other students.

Logan Autry is now prohibited from wearing his Trump hat at Powers-Ginsburg Elementary School in Fresno, California. California is known for being a largely progressively democratic state.

“The vice principal came up to me and told me to take my hat off because it brings negative attention from other students, and I said no a few times and then the principal told me again and I still said no and refused,” Autry told reporters.

Autry explained that he tried talking to his classmates about Trumps political views.
“I’ve told them his policies on illegal immigration, and our Second Amendment, and our First Amendment and all of our amendments that need to be protected, which are not going to be an amendment at all if Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders gets elected,” he said.

The young boy recently got to meet trump and touch his hair. “I got to shake his hand and I felt his hair too, and it’s actually real. On the TV it looks not real, but it like, has a blur but when you see it in real life it looks a lot different,” said the young boy.

Would this be happening if a student was wearing a Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton hat or shirt? Certainly not! Fresno educators have shown that their greatest fear is a child with a mind of his own and the voice and willingness to speak out.
