American citizens have the right to vote. That’s a simple fact that every American knows, and it’s a right that is held dear. And one of the incredible things about this country is that you don’t have to be born in the United States to have the right to vote. People who immigrate legally can become an American citizen and enjoy the rights protected by the Constitution. But what about illegal immigrants? Democrats have been eager to take advantage of the millions of illegal immigrants pouring over our southern border, and that means breaking the law to let them vote — and now, in three states, they can.
A court ruling was handed down on Friday that blocked Kansas, Georgia, and Alabama from requiring residents to prove that they are citizens of the United States before they can vote. The ruling was issued by a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Liberals had argued that requiring proof of identification will lead to “mass disenfranchisement” of poor and minority voters, because apparently liberals are racist, classist morons who think that poor or minority Americans are too stupid to figure out how to get themselves to the DMV and spend $5 on an identification card. Now, these three states can no longer require proof of identification before allowing someone to vote, meaning that there’s nothing stopping illegal immigrants from voting.
This is especially troubling considering news that recently came to light: the IRS is refusing to tell over one million Americans that they are victims of identity theft. Over one million Americans have had their social security numbers stolen, and they are being used by illegal immigrants. There’s nothing stopping these illegal immigrants from impersonating the people whose identities they have stolen and voting in their name. There’s nothing stopping illegal immigrants from voting, period.
If liberals don’t want to require people to show proof of identification, then why even bother restricting the right to vote to American citizens at all? Of course, that’s a rhetorical question; liberals are anxious to let just anyone weigh in on American issues. They would bend over backwards to placate non-Americans all over the world, but when it comes to what actual Americans want, they could care less. This is just the latest example. And it could have potentially catastrophic consequences.
