From IJReview: Speaking recently with Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg, journalist Sharyl Attkisson revealed some unusual insider information about President Obama.
Officials allegedly told her that the President disregards or flat-out won’t read intelligence he doesn’t like.
Now, former Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Director Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (Ret.) is backing Attkisson up.
On Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” Thursday, host Martha MacCallum played a clip from Tuesday’s Republican debate. In the clip, Carly Fiorina slammed Obama for allegedly ousting people like Flynn because he didn’t want to hear what they had to say:
“…He [Obama] didn’t want to hear something, you know, this sort of drumbeat that this Islamic radicalism is on the rise in a very, very big way, and they are growing in areas around the world, and we’ve seen all of the various attacks that we’ve seen in Europe, certainly in the United States.
So, it — like I’ve said before, Martha, it didn’t meet a narrative that the president wanted to continue to say to the American public. And I think that’s a real tragedy.” [emphasis added]
Flynn then noted that there are solutions being offered, contrary to what the President often claims:
“The president — I’ve heard him say, ‘Hey, these people keep talking about all these things, but they don’t have any solutions.’ Yes we do; we do have solutions…
Either it’s him personally, or it’s the advisers around him, that are telling him stay the course, and we’ll get through the rest of your presidency. It’s just not going to work like that.”
This isn’t the first time Flynn has slammed the Obama administration over Intel.
In an August interview with Al Jazeera’s Mehdi Hasan, Flynn accused the administration of making a “willful decision” to ignore warnings about arming opposition fighters in Syria, despite the possibility of weapons falling into the hands of radicals.
