Shadow presidency… scary thought right?
After a private meeting with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, we have now received word that former President Obama flew to California on Sunday for yet another meeting with tech leaders.
Regarding this meeting, there have been no public comments made by any of the parties involved, however, there has been one news account that had dubbed these meetings as part of the “shadow presidency”

There is talk stating that prior to the end of Obama’s presidency, there were expectations put into place that Obama would be making these rounds and often.
“I would be surprised if he did not spend a significant amount of his post-presidency time and effort connecting the resources and ideas and capabilities that he has learned about in Silicon Valley with the kinds of causes that he will choose,” said Reid Hoffman, executive chairman and co-founder of LinkedIn.
Since the inauguration of our new President, President Trump, the former president has been reported to be at the very center of the efforts to sabotage the new administration. All arrows point to him, the problem is…none of them have pierced him yet.
Rush Limbaugh himself has accused Obama and his party of corrupt Democrats at “attempting to sabotage the Trump presidency and do everything they can to either render it meaningless and ineffective or to get him impeached or force him to resign.”
Then just last week Rep. Mike Kelly added to that notion when he questioned Obama’s motives for wanting to stay in Washington after his presidency.
“President Obama himself said he was going to stay in Washington until his daughter graduated. I think we ought to pitch in to let him go someplace else, because he is only there for one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to run a shadow government that is going to totally upset the new agenda. It just doesn’t make sense,” Kelly said last week.
The concern that is growing is that Silicon Valley does, in fact, appear to be an obvious place to organize a resistance. After all, it has already proven to be a stronghold of opposition to Trump’s temporary ban on immigration, and so the location has already been tried, tested, and passed with flying colors.
“… you’ve already seen leaders in the technology industry, from New York and San Francisco … really standing up for the issues they believe in,” said Julie Samuels, executive director of Tech: tehNYC, a coalition of tech startups and companies that sent a letter to Trump opposing his immigration order. “And I think that’s really notable. You just haven’t seen business leaders from other industries reacting the same way.”
Last Friday White House press secretary, Sean Spicer released a statement on the resistance from Obama or Obama-era employees – that it is going to be something the Trump White House is going to need to handle. It is good to know…they know what they need to deal with.
“I think that there’s no question when you have eight years of one party in office, that there are people who stay in government who are affiliated with and continue to espouse the agenda of the previous administration,” Spicer said.
He continued, “I don’t think it should come as any surprise that there are people that burrowed into government during eight years of the last administration and may have believed in that agenda and want to continue to seek it.”
No, it’s not a surprise at all. It simply couldn’t be, you can see the corruption as if it was basking in the sun on the beach in mid-day….we just need to find a way to drown it.
