Obama’s brother is voting for Trump. Actually, it’s his half-brother, but that’s still a big deal!
The New York Post reported today that Malik Obama told them he is voting for Trump.
Malik, 58, is currently in Kenya, but he will return to the United States to vote. He lived in Maryland for several years where he worked as an accountant.
Malik is registered to vote in the state, according to the Post.
“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart,” Malik said.
“Make America Great Again is a great slogan. I would like to meet him,” Malik told the Post from the village of Kogelo, Kenya.
The president’s half-brother explained that he was a Democrat all of his life, but that “deep disappointment” with how Obama has run the country led him to switch to the GOP.
What pushed Malik over the edge? When FBI Director James Comey didn’t recommend charges be brought against Hillary for using a private email server & sending classified mail on it. “She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” Malik told the Post.
Malik also wasn’t a fan of Hillary & Obama overthrowing and killing Moammar Khadafy, the former head of Libya.
Regarding Khadafy’s death he said, “I still feel that getting rid of Khadafy didn’t make things any better in Libya. My brother and the secretary of state disappointed me in that regard.”
Malik referred to Khadafy as a “friend.” Earlier in July the Daily Mail reported that Malik spoke to his brother about saving the Libyan leader’s life.
Malik also doesn’t like that the Democratic Party supports same-sex marriage, now.
President Obama didn’t meet Malik until 1985 because their father, Barack Obama Sr., moved to Hawaii, leaving Malik with his mother in Kenya. Malik was Obama’s best man at his wedding. Obama also attended Malik’s wedding in Maryland in the early 90’s, according to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly.
Earlier this month O’Reilly claimed that Malik gave him photos with Obama dressed in traditional Islamic garb like the one below.
Malik also ran for governor of a county in Kenya in 2013. Apparently the relationship between Malik and Obama soured when Obama didn’t help him with the campaign.
In a 2015 interview with film maker Joel Gilbert, Malik said of his brother:
“The way that he’s turned and become a different person with the family is the same way that I see him behaving politically. He says one thing and then he does another. He’s not been an honest man, as far as I’m concerned, in who he is and what he says and how he treats people.”
On supporting the Republican presidential candidate he said, “Mr. Trump is providing something new and something fresh.”
Upon hearing the news, Trump responded on Twitter.
So, I wonder how Obama and Hillary are going to take this? I mean, Trump’s going to roll out ads by the thousands with Obama’s brother in them – “Malik Obama hates what his brother has done to America, so he’s voting for me!”
Now THAT’S an endorsement. Another plus? Leftist idiots calling Trump a “racist” will be eating crow now, for sure.
Welcome to the Party, Malik! Glad you saw through all your brother’s BS!
