We all remember how the Left reaction when it was uncovered that the CEO of Chick-Fil-A, a devout Christian, supported traditional marriage. Protests (and counter-protests) broke out nationwide, even though Chick-Fil-A has no shortage of gay employees and managers who warned that the protest was only hurting people like them.
Will they have to boycott KFC next following the pro-cop sentiment one store in Ohio echoed? Recently, a sign was posted outside a KFC in Gallipolis, Ohio. A photo of the sign went viral on social media quickly, garnering over 9,000 likes and over 4,000 shares.
As AWM reported:
The sign posted on the KFC front door in Gallipolis read:
“All uniformed police officers eat free everyday all day.”
The note is printed on an ordinary piece of 8 ½ by 11 printer paper in bold capital letters. The KFC restaurant manager wants to make sure that all police officers notice the sign and actually take advantage of the benefit this location is offering them.
A number of officers – and non-officers were delighted with the gesture. But while they appreciate it, some are remaining humble, stating that they do the job to uphold their duty to protect and serve, not get freebies. One commented:
“This is a positive post, but some of you can’t see the bigger picture. As an officer, I do not go into any establishment expecting/wanting ANYTHING to be free or let alone even a discount, whether I’m in uniform or not, and I can tell you other officers feel the same way. We don’t like ‘special treatment.’ The fact is that KFC is acknowledging law enforcement, which is why this was posted,” the administrator of Ohio Going Blue’s page wrote in a comment. “To those who stated that other first responders should also be acknowledged. My answer? ABSOLUTELY.”
Meanwhile, if a KFC started offering free meals to liberals, you can bet every single one of them would take the handout.
This comes after another story of when a Virginia police officer was denied service at a KFC after one of the cooks there refused to make food for a cop while she wore her uniform. Clearly, that cooks actions don’t represent the brand.
