An attempted robber was beaten repeatedly with a fire extinguisher after the man jumped a gas station counter to steal cash from a heavily-pregnant cashier.
The dramatic footage was released by the store’s owner Akash Singh onto his YouTube page.
During the clip, which lasts for more than a minute, the attempted thief jumps across the counter as soon as the pregnant cashier opened the till.
During the attack he tries to vault across the counter again, where he is grabbed by a male member of staff, however, the suspect manages to wriggle his way clear and manages to flee the store.
A police report said the suspect ‘jumped the counter and began pushing and shoving’ the cashier who was ‘visibly pregnant’.
The man, who according to the store’s owner appeared to be on drugs, managed to escape with about $500 from the till.
Toledo police said they are seeking the public’s help in trying to identify the suspect.
According to ABC News, the man launched his attack after asking the cashier to check an ATM slip.
