The immigration raids that ICE agents have been conducting have spread like wildfire through the mainstream liberal media. False stories of families being ripped apart are being perpetuated. But new guidelines set forth by a certain federal agency is going to make these raids ten times easier now.
New guidelines were set out by the new Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly. It will allow federal law enforcement officials to aggressively detain illegal immigrants and deport them when needed. Both in the United States and at the border of Mexico.
His plans include hiring thousands of new law enforcement agents, making deportation hearings speedy, and enlarging the pool of immigrants. All of these variables would still make it easier to follow through with the President’s executive order.
These new guidelines would almost entirely overrule those created under the former administration which allowed violent criminals to remain in the United States. Kelly said the following about his actions,
“The surge of immigration at the southern border has overwhelmed federal agencies and resources and has created a significant national security vulnerability to the United States.”
This includes an increase from 10,000 apprehensions at the border to 15,000 between the years of 2015 and 2016. The guidelines are currently being reviewed by the White House Counsel’s Office. The specifics are still being hashed out so the anonymous source chose to remain quiet.
The President is following through on his promise to the American people to completely revamp the immigration system. While some may not like that it is certainly happening for better or for worse. Who could say that deporting violent illegal aliens is a bad thing?
The statistics are proof enough that we have a serious problem with border security and border control. Hopefully, these new guidelines will serve as a foundational role in ensuring that in the future we have less illegal immigrants coming across our border.
