In an effort to take attention away from Hillary Clinton’s health, the media is against claiming that the Trump campaign won’t disavow former KKK wizard David Duke. Mike Pence had refused to call David Duke deplorable in a CNN interview, leading to countless “Pence Refuses to Call David Duke “Deplorable” headlines. Apparently nobody bothered to check the context, as Pence explained that he only wouldn’t use the term to describe Duke because he “doesn’t like name calling.” In the same interview, Pence said that the Trump campaign doesn’t want the support of Duke and anyone who thinks like him.
It is true that David Duke is supporting Donald Trump, but in a country with over a hundred and fifty million registered voters, any candidate is bound to have some wacky supporters. The media completely glossed over the fact that Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen was a Democrat, and that his father is a Hillary supported whose been spotted behind her as she’s spoke at campaign stops.
The mosque that Mateen attended has been frequented by a number of other radicals, leading to questions of whether or not that mosque itself preaches a radical interpretation of Islam. Someone must’ve assumed as much, as that mosque was set ablaze today.
As The Blaze reported:
Someone authorities said Monday. No one was injured.
The blaze happened a day after Americans commemorated the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and also coincided with the beginning of the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha. However, Maj. David Thompson of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office declined to speculate on whether the arson was tied to 9/11 anniversary.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said on its official Facebook page that surveillance video shows someone approaching the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce around 12:30 a.m. Monday, moments before a flash was seen and the fire started. The fire was put out, but there was no word on how much damage it caused.
Firefighters were called to the mosque at 12:31 a.m. by reports of flames coming from the building’s roof, authorities said. It took them nearly five hours to extinguish the fire.
This isn’t the first act of violence against this particular mosque. A few weeks after the Pulse massacre, a man was beaten outside of the mosque.
Is this a radical mosque that needs to be investigated (and if found guilty, destroyed), or is this just an unjustified act of violence against a community of Muslims who would’ve found Mateen deplorable? Let us know what you think in the comments and share this post on Facebook and Twitter.
