Cops and firemen always had a vicious rivalry that dates back ages upon ages. They’ve always competed against each other in a most rigorous, fun, and manly way to be the neighborhood crew that is the best.
No matter how many battles they get into with each other, if there’s one thing that’s always true it’s this – police and fire have each others backs through thick and thin, no matter what.
They’re grown men and women out there protecting Americans and doing a job that no one else wants to do. They’re brave, strong, and we need them.
When cops were shot in Baton Rouge, a fire station hoisted an American flag with a thin blue line through it. It symbolizes the support that firemen have for policemen. It shows unity at a time of struggle and demise.
What this fire station didn’t expect was to be told to remove the flag. They were told to remove the flag so it didn’t spark any further violence, basically giving in to the enemy based on fear mongering.
FOX NEWS – “Our foremost concern was whether the flag could create a safety risk for emergency responders due to extremists targeting the fire engine or for people following the fire engine and not being able to see the warning lights,” the chief wrote.
He also said the fire department had to “look at the big picture.”
“How is this perceived by not only the public, but also those that would seek to do harm to those in public safety?” he wrote. “Some feel the flag is an attempt to incite further violence against those who, to our very core, have dedicated our lives to protecting all lives.”
I thought this was America? It is…sometimes. Sometimes I feel like we’re turning into something disgusting. I want to go back to being American made, strong, and proud.
We’ve become an oversensitive, crybaby, safe space, offended by everything, politically correct mixed batch of losers and crybabies. It’s time to toughen up, eradicate enemies, and be American again.
Whatever we’re doing now isn’t working.
