(Mad World News) America is on high alert after a second individual has been diagnosed with Ebola from having contracted it within the country — and flew between U.S. cities while symptomatic. One airline passenger at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C. doesn’t want to be the next victim, so she’s pulled out all the stops to protect herself.
The female traveler was spotted Wednesday waiting for her flight wearing a full hazmat suit — complete with a head to toe body gown, full coverage gloves, and even a mask.
A separate traveler at the airport snapped the photo of the cautious passenger and submitted it to online news source The Daily Caller.
The suited woman’s concern likely stems from the fact that the first Ebola victim on American soil, Thomas Eric Duncan, had traveled last month from West Africa to Texas and had a layover at Dulles in between. Duncan died from the disease last week.
Health officials announced Duncan’s stop at the D.C. area airport posed no threat of exposure to passengers at the time of his travel, since he was not symptomatic in the course of his flight.
This woman’s extensive effort is proof that many Americans believe there is an imminent chance of an outbreak, especially with how cavalier the Obama administration is about this deadly virus. Travel needs to stop to and from West Africa, but that does not seem to be part of the president’s plan of action for preventing the spread of Ebola in the U.S.
