SHELBY COUNTY, AL – An illegal immigrant already twice deported from the U.S. is behind bars in Shelby County facing two felonies for child pornography.
Cesar Perez-Valdez, 28, was arrested Friday. He is charged with possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography. The case was investigated by Pelham police.
Perez-Valdez, who lives in Montevallo, on Jan. 17 did “knowingly disseminate or display publicly any obscene matter containing a visual reproduction of a person under the age of 17 engaged in any act of sado-masochistic abuse, sexual intercourse, sexual excitement, masturbation, breast nudity, genital nudity or other sexual contact,” according to court records.
The warrant said the suspect had and shared a video of a young female on a computer file-sharing network. No additional details were immediately available.
In a request for bond, Shelby County prosecutors said Perez-Valdez is in the U.S. illegally and has no ties to the community. He has twice been deported, and is a flight risk, they said. He also could face additional charges.
The judge agreed, and set the bond at $250,000.
