It was a scary night.
Eleven police officers were shot by Black Lives Matter radicals, five of which died. BLM has been pushing the narrative that there’s a war on African-American communities being carried out by police, and their brainwashed following finally retaliated.
One of the attackers is dead, and three have been brought into custody. It was originally believed that the one sniper who was killed had committed suicide.
It turns out, his death was slightly more satisfying than that. BizPacReview reports:
“The reporting that the suspect killed himself is not accurate,” Brown said. “We’ve confirmed that he’s been deceased because of the detonation of the bomb.”
Brown said that the suspect had spoken with a hostage negotiator as he was holed up in a parking garage El Centro College Friday morning.
“We tried to negotiate for several hours. Negotiations broke down, we had an exchange of gunfire with the suspect. We saw no other option but to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension, for it to detonate where the suspect was.
“Other options would have exposed our officers to great danger.”
Chief Brown said the suspect had made statements during the standoff about his motivations for the attack.
“The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter. He said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people,” Brown told reporters. “The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. The suspect said that we will eventually find the IEDs. The suspect stated he was not affiliated with any groups and he stated that he did this alone.”
This is the kind of resentment that groups like BLM breed.
The answer to racism isn’t to incite more racism. No one was motivated to kill by the rhetoric of Martin Luther King Jr.
