On Thursday The Radio City Rockettes were set to perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration… lo and behold, one o those Rockettes was NOT okay with it, and made it known. Dramatically.
Her name is Phoebe Pearl and she took to her social media account once she heard the news. She stated she was “embarrassed and disappointed” to be part of the celebration and having to make an appearance at the event makes her sick.
“I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” Pearl wrote.
“Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.”
BLAH BLAH BLAH….someone please find her the world’s smallest violin.
She claims she feels uncomfortable about the performance, due to Trump’s history with assault allegations and unsavory language??? Really???
The woman is nuts…first off she’s wrong with how she thinks about him, but furthermore…she’s performed for all SORTS of people, but Trump is her issue because of the character that liars have built for him?
Oh please Sister…cut the dramatics. Here’s what she posted on her Instagram account.
“The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” she wrote.
“I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident”
Gag… tears in their eyes, and heavy hearts? Are they professionals or thumb sucking cry babies?
Answer: The latter
Earlier in the day, the Rockettes’ owner, MSG Entertainment, released a statement that they were “honored” to have been asked to perform at the festivities. The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Friday.
According to Broadwayworld.com, the Rockettes were sent an email by their union that told them they were not able to “boycott” the event.
“Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace,” the email read.
“If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated.”
The news came hours after Trump claimed that top-shelf celebrities were clamoring to join his inaugural festivities.
“The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING,” Trump tweeted. “I want the PEOPLE!”
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will also be playing at the celebration…they accepted honorably.
Here’s her Facebook page if you’d like to learn more about her, or if you simply can’t believe she exists because her reaction is so RIDICULOUS! She made her Instagram account private after the uproar over her hissy fit.
