Rock and roll icon and outspoken conservative activist Ted Nugent is at the center of a fiery controversy stemming from a video he shared on Facebook. The video shows Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders debating a farcical statement Hillary made blaming Vermont for New York’s gun problems, but with an alternate ending.

A passionate outdoorsman who openly speaks of his love for firearms, hunting, and the Second Amendment, Nugent has often been a target of the anti-gun left, who call him crazy and say that he’s “everything wrong with America”.
Defiant as always, the rock and roll superstar just continues to be who he is and has refused to back down from the firestorm.
Reaction to the video was quick and harsh, particularly from the anti-gun left. One commenter lamented that Ted Nugent isn’t dead:
@HuffingtonPost Of all the rock stars that have died yet this one is still standing. It's sad.

While others called for him to be committed to a mental institution:
@HuffingtonPost He needs to be committed…..and fast. That way we'll never hear from him again.

And, of course, someone tried to be funny and failed:
@mmfa what a piece of garbage sorry that's insulting to garbage

Of course, Nugent is hardly the caricature anti-gun advocates portray, as can be seen in this CNN clip:
