Donald Trump brought the issue of illegal immigration center stage this campaign. Without his lead, it’s unlikely any of the other Republican candidates who competed in the primary would’ve even discussed the issue.
While Trump dominated Hillary last night, we lost a fighter in the battle against illegal immigration: Joe Arpaio.
George Soros’ campaign, Maricopa Strong, has spent $3.2 million on ads attacking the six-term sheriff. Texas billionaire John Arnold has kicked in $500,000 and Laurene Powell Jobs of California, widow of Steve Jobs, another $250,000.
Why exactly would billionaires support illegal immigration? Cheap labor for them, of course!
In the end, Soros won out (a rare occurrence), and as Dennis Michael Lynch reported:
Arpaio lost the race for a seventh term as Maricopa County Sheriff Tuesday evening, toppled from his 24-year term by Democrat challenger Paul Penzone.
Soros isn’t the only one who wanted Arpaio out. Arpaio has accused President Barack Obama’s Justice Department of timing his federal indictment (back in October) on criminal contempt on the day early voting began to kill his chances of being re-elected, according to the Phoenix New Times.
The good news in all this?
A man even stronger than him on illegal immigration just won the Presidency! I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump offered the man a position in his administration. That’ll stick it to Obama – and Soros.
