The controversy surrounding Benghazi, Libya never seems to die. That is certainly the case now. Col. Andrew Woods has come forward to speak to the media and he has informed the public that in fact their was help in route to Benghazi on the night and day of the attack but they were forced to turn back because Obama refused to give the go ahead order.
Wood had at one time commanded a Special Forces anti terrorism team that protected Ambassador Chris Stevens as well as other diplomats in Libya. Back in October of 2012 Woods had told Congress that one month prior to the Benghazi attacks his entire team had thus been removed from Libya by the President’s administration. Regardless of the fact that their had been numerous warnings of the impending terrorist attacks that could take place.
Special Forces were reportedly on their way to Benghazi but then were ordered to turn around. Wood said,
“Those individuals I know loaded aircraft and got on their way to Benghazi to respond to that incident. They were not allowed to cross the border as per protocol until they got approval from the commander in chief. That authority has to come from him or they’re not allowed to enter the country.”
Attkisson had told Malzberg,
“This is something that the president and the White House has steadfastly denied, but there’s now what I would call an overwhelming body of evidence that leads us to believe that somebody stopped a number of teams and potential rescuers from entering Libya or going to Benghazi to help while those attacks were underway.”
They could have gotten there before the last two Americans died. Those attacks went on for eight hours.”
Jeremy Bash had sent an email to Jacob Sullivan around 7:19 p.m. Washington Time. Sullivan was the deputy chief of staff to the Secretary of State at the time Hillary Clinton. Attkisson noted that the White House had refused to express the involvement of the President while the American soldiers and civilians were under attack on Libya’s foreign soil.
Despite these overwhelming facts the former Secretary of State was still allowed to run for President and she still has not been held accountable to this day for her actions. She is directly responsible, as well as Obama, for the deaths of those Americans in Benghazi on that fateful night. She must be held responsible.
