Progressive liberal Democrats can’t stand successful black conservatives, mostly because their very existence proves a contradiction in the liberal narrative that black Americans are oppressed and need to be dependent on government to get by in life.
But there is a steadily growing number of black Americans who are embracing conservative principles and ideology, despite what the left and the media say about them.
Hollywood star and Fox News contributor Stacey Dash is one such black conservative, and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind about touchy issues, such as the notion of “white privilege,” or the hypocrisy of Hollywood.
Now, according to BizPacReview, Dash has taken on her critics in the “black media,” brushing off their criticism of her with just two words: “Bring it!”
Ebony magazine recently published an article listing the top trending black actresses of 2014. Stacey Dash came in at number 9, but instead of celebrating her success and popularity like the other actresses on the list, Ebony decided to attack and critique Dash over her conservative beliefs, with this short blurb:
“Her conservative, clueless political slant sparked controversy time after time this year, making Dash notoriously trendy for all the wrong reasons.”
But Dash isn’t troubled by Ebony’s attack on her, and she stated as much while co-hosting the popular Fox News program “Outnumbered” on Thursday.
“It’s not tough, it’s not tough for me. I’m from the South Bronx. Bring it! I have to stand for what I believe in. I have no choice. That’s just who I am,” Dash said.
Good for her. She should not let herself be troubled by her detractors in the media. She is a smart and beautiful woman who has turned a troubled life into an amazing success story, which she attributes to her faith and principles.
Whether the liberal black media wants to celebrate Stacey Dash or not doesn’t really matter. She has become successful in spite of the rampant liberalism that brings down so many people, and she is proud of it, whether liberals like it or not.
