Violent protests and looting broke out almost immediately after the grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson was officially released Monday evening.

Rioters took to the streets, breaking windows and stealing merchandise from local businesses, and burning many of them to the ground.

Heartbreaking video footage has surfaced showing the man standing in the midst of the carnage left by violent thugs and opportunists who ransacked his business.

From Opposing Views:

How sad is this? This man works hard to provide a living for his family and a service to the community, and how do these despicable thugs respond? By trashing his place of business in the name of “racial equality.”

Disgraceful.

The individuals who are participating in this nonsense are not fighting to right an injustice. Violence is not the solution to ending violence. Martin Luther King had the right strategy, which is why he is rightfully considered a Civil Rights hero. Perhaps these folks need a history lesson.

If you truly believe some injustice was done, you have the right to protest, but do so peacefully. Don’t take out your hatred and anger on the community where you live, where your children go to school, and where your family and friends work.

Hopefully this man will be able to rebuild at some point and will not be discouraged to continue providing his service to the community. It’s imperative that we all continue to hold these business owners in our thoughts and prayers as they are the ones paying the heaviest price during these riots.
