The scourge of political correctness has struck again, and this time its target is an Elementary school teacher who has been placed on leave for the heinous crime of encouraging people to follow the law. That’s right. Public schools (aka government schools) are now in the business of supporting criminal activity. In this particular case, the teacher was encouraging folks to report illegals.
According to Yakimaherald.com, this is what went down:
In Prosser, Wash., An elementary school teacher was forced to take leave on Friday after the school district accused her of posting a Facebook message that they considered to be either hostile or offensive purely on the basis of ethnicity.
Basically, they are punishing her for being a racist in their eyes. If that wasn’t the case, there would be no need for her to be on leave.
The Facebook post attracted a lot of emails, phone calls and visits from so-called “concerned citizens and parents” that the school administrators used to describe them all as “angry and concerning.”
The Prosser School District made the claim:
“Due to possible safety and security concerns, as well as concern for disruption of the school environment, this teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation of this incident by the district.”
Of course, the teacher’s identity has not been released, but she did teach at Keene-Riverview Elementary School.
The Facebook post that was the center of the PC backlash was ascribed to a teacher that made her support for boycotting Thursday’s ‘A Day Without Immigrants’ protests known. She apparently supplied information on how to link up with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency in order to “report illegal aliens.”
Did she do something illegal? Absolutely not. She was and is being punished and accused of wrongdoing. This will not continue to stand, and it will only serve as another springboard for the anti-PC backlash that has begun.
