Ted Cruz Makes HUGE Announcement About Re-Starting Campaign

While Sen. Ted Cruz has suspended his campaign, that apparently doesn’t mean he’s totally out of the race.

In fact, Cruz may resume campaign if he wins Nebraska.

From The Hill:

Ted Cruz on Tuesday floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he wins Nebraska’s GOP primary, as he avoided saying whether he supports Donald Trump‘s bid for president.
Cruz, who ended his White House run last week, said he does not expect to win Nebraska’s primary Tuesday night, but he’s leaving the door open.
“We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory,” he said Tuesday on Glenn Beck’s radio program.
“If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly.”
Cruz demurred on supporting Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee. He argued that there are still months to go before the party’s convention and the ultimate general election.
“This is a choice every voter is going to have to make. I would note, its not a choice we as a voters have to make today,” Cruz said when asked about supporting Trump.

Along with this statement, Cruz also said he would not contest Trump’s nomination nor go for a third-party run.

I think Cruz has a pretty sound strategy and upright approach to the election and is proving he’s truly a man of character and integrity.

It’s pretty clear Trump is going to easily take the nomination, and Cruz is spot on in saying no one has to make up their mind who they plan to vote for in the general right this second.

This is a crazy election cycle and while some conservatives may be comfortable voting for Trump, I think taking some time to really think it through before pulling the lever is wise.
