TEXAS GIVES OBAMA THE FINGER: “Come And Take It” Response To Concealed Carry Ruling

A recent Texas ruling has banned citizens from carrying a concealed weapon. The court ruled Thursday, “there is no Second Amendment right for members of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.” Furthermore, “the right of a member of the general public to carry a concealed firearm in public is not, and never has been, protected by the Second Amendment.” Justifiably, some people are not too pleased with the ruling.

In the courts statement it said,

“Because the Second Amendment does not protect in any degree the right to carry concealed firearms in public, any prohibition or restriction a state may choose to impose on concealed carry — including a requirement of ‘good cause,’ however defined — is necessarily allowed by the Amendment.”

The decision was made 7-4. Two defendants from separate counties in California had sued the state saying that a rule necessitating “good cause” for carrying a concealed weapon was a violation of their second amendment rights.

Governor Greg Abbott had an eloquently passionate response via social media,

The Governor previously signed a bill last year allowing citizens of Texas to open carry weapons. Texas has approximately 6 million firearm owners. The discussion over gun control has certainly been a heated one over the years. In this case Texas gun owners have the support of their Governor even if they don’t have it from the court.

The uproar over this recent court ruling shows all the anti-gun liberals and President Obama who seek to take our Second Amendment rights from us that you don’t mess with Texas!!
