During Wednesday night’s “The Kelly File,” Megyn reported that Ahmed’s father, Elhassan Mohamed, is a 9/11 “truther.” Yes, he believes 9/11 was orchestrated by the government in order to frame Islam and Muslims.
Fox News Correspondant Trace Gallagher reported that Elhassan has two Facebook pages, one in English that shows him being very pro-American and a Muslim reformer.
The other, however, has a much different tone. That second page is the page for the “National Reform Party,” a political party created by Elhassan.
“[T]his webpage is much more active and the tone is very different, including a 14-minute conspiracy theory clip on the 9/11 terrorist attacks and a post that shows the smoking World Trade towers, describing as a U.S.-sponsored hoax to launch a world war against Islam and Muslims.”
That video was shared by Elhasson on September 28th, two weeks after his son was arrested and suspended from school.

While the controversy was unraveling last month, it was also revealed that Elhassan ran for the president of Sudan twice. Sudan is one of the most hardline Islamic states in Africa.
In the wake of the controversy, many thought the entire incident was a hoax, meant to discredit the “Islamophobic” city of Irving, Texas. Some even believe that Ahmed merely used the components from a basic digital alarm to clock create his own “invention.”
Ahmed also recently met with dignitaries at the United Nations, the same week the U.N. raised the Palestinian State flag. Ahmed is scheduled to attend “Astronomy Night” at the White House on October 19th.
