As Reported By Q Political: Separation of church and state is a funny thing if you’re a liberal.
It means that there can be no mention of God anywhere in a public school, IF that God you’re referring to is the God of the Bible. However if what you mean by “God” is actually “Allah”, and you’re seeking to promote an Islamic centric curriculum, then everything is A-OK.
That’s seemingly the case in a community 100 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee where parents are very upset that their children are being forced to read a new textbook with an Islamic centric worldview. The book in question is titled, “myWorld History and Geography: The Middle Ages to Exploration of the Americas”, and is distributed by Pearson Education.
The name sounds harmless enough until you start digging. One of the largest investors in Pearson Education is partially owned by Libyan Investment Authority. This group also has financial connections to Council on American-Islamic Relations as reported by the Washington Times,
According to the Financial Times, the Libyan Investment Authority was founded by Muammar Gaddafi’s son, Seif al-Islam; more than five Gaddafi family members own shares. The Council on Islamic Relations (CAIR, a recently designated terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates), Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Muslim Brotherhood invested in Pearson Education through the Libyan Investment Authority.
These concerned parents are gathering to voice their opinions this week. They’re not against teaching about Islam, but they want it to be balanced. The book includes instructions on how to convert to Islam, but not Christianity.
