New York cabby Mamadou Diallo was looking for a parking space at his building when he got a call from his wife. A man had broken into their apartment and had tried to rape her. The man was still inside the building, Diallo’s wife told him.

Diallo grabbed a tire iron from his car, and rushed upstairs. That’s when he encountered career-criminal, Earl Nash, 43.

Nash had knocked on Diallo’s door at around 9 pm on Monday. The cabby’s wife, Nenegale, was at home with her cousin. Nenegale opened the door, but when she saw she didn’t know the person, she tried to shut it. Nash violently pushed the door open, and began pummeling her in the face.

According to the New York Post, Nash told Nenegale, “I don’t want money — I’m going to rape you.” Nash hit her several more times in the face, and then tore off her clothes. Nenegale pleaded with Nash: “Please, anything you want, I give you.” Nenegale said that Nash hit her with a chair during the attack.

Nenegale’s female cousin helped her fight Nash off, and that’s when Nenegale was able to call her husband.

The NY Post reported Nenegale as saying: “I took my phone and see my husband’s number first. I pressed the number. I made a loud noise, screaming, ‘Please, help me! Help me! Call the police!’ Then he slapped me again. The phone [was] falling, but I was making noise so my husband could hear the noise.”

Nenegale’s husband took the elevator to the sixth floor where they lived. He encountered the shirtless Nash in the hallway, and actually passed him by.

Nenegale pointed Nash out to her husband, Diallo. Diallo then began beating Nash with the tire iron, pushing him into the elevator where he continued to beat him for about 2 minutes.

A security camera captured video of the deadly altercation.

Nash suffered severe body trauma, and a fractured skull.

Paramedics rushed Nash to a nearby hospital, but he died from his injuries.

The elevator floor was covered in blood after the beating.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Nash has been arrested 19 times, and was “convicted for bribery and drug-related charges.”

The Mail reports that Nash was released on parole in 2015. He was arrested in May of 2016 for harassment. In 2003, Nash sexually assaulted, stabbed and beat a 17-year-old girl. He pled guilty to “unlawful imprisonment” as he had held the girl against her will for two days.

Diallo was initially charged with manslaughter for beating Nash to death, but “during his arraignment at Bronx Criminal Court, the charges were dropped to two counts of assault, and criminal possession of a weapon,” according to the New York Post.

Prosecutors did not ask for bail, and Diallo was released on his own-recognizance.

Another scum down, lots more to go. Kudos to Diallo for defending his wife & ridding this world of vermin slime. Hopefully all of the charges will be dropped as he was merely defending his family.
