Last week I watched video of anti-cop protesters at a rally that was suppose to protest the death of Anton Sterling and Philando Castile. The problem is rather than honoring the deaths of Philando and Anton they danced, jeered and celebrated the massacre of police. There is nothing peaceful about these Black Lives Matter protests… the more videos and stories are released, the more I’m convinced of this.
This morning I wrote about the violence of Black Lives Matter protesters attacking the police officers standing there to protect them. Instead of just using their voice the BLM protesters started hitting police with whatever they could find from glass, bricks, rocks, Molotov cocktails, firecrackers and even concrete. That concrete fractured the police officers spine possibly disabling him permanently.
NOW, violence against Police Officers is no longer contained solely to rallies! A BLM member started shooting at the home of a a Police Officer at 2am. There were 17 shell casings on the scene with bullet holes in the house and the family car. The worst part of it all is the Police Officer’s wife and 10-yr-old son were at home during the drive-by. Thank goodness there was surveillance video and a witness description of the suspect.
The witnesses told officers they saw a black man driving a tan, mid-2000s Chevy Cobalt and had parked the car a few houses east of the house. They said they saw the suspect get out of the car, yell “F— the police,” and shoot at the house and police car.
One witness also said they saw somebody matching the suspect’s description walking around the officer’s house Friday. They said the person was wearing a white T-shirt with “Black Lives Matter” on it.
When police looked at the surveillance video, there were no other vehicles seen on video between 1:30 a.m. and 2:28 a.m.
As officers were searching through the area, an officer saw a tan Chevy Cobalt a few blocks from the house. When the driver noticed the vehicle, he did a three-point turn and sped away. Police chased him, and he was apprehended.
Police arrested March Ratney who was wearing a shirt that said “f— the police” to question related to the incident. Reports say that Ratney denied being involved in the incident, used expletives at the police and even urinated in the interview room. Ratney has a long list of criminal activity including battery and handgun convictions. This ‘peaceful movement’ continues to build… how bad will it get? Time will tell.
