Liberals have been eagerly pretending that Obama’s two terms as president have improved the economy — in public, anyway. In private, they’re evidently much more honest. Just take it from Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile. She likes to channel Hillary Clinton, with one position she holds in public, and another one in private.
In public, she applauds Obama’s economy:
Under President Obama, the economy has experienced a record 70 straight months of private-sector job growth. Over 14 million jobs!

In private, though, she is much more grim. Just one month after sending that tweet, she sent an e-mail to Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, where she painted a very different picture. “I think people are more in despair about how things are — yes new jobs but they are low wage jobs,” she wrote. “HOUSING is a huge issue. Most people pay half of what they make to rent.”
So which is it, Donna? Is the economy in great shape, or is it a dismal situation? And why do you feel it necessary to lie?
