Donald Trump is visiting the flood ravaged areas of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Unlike President Obama. However, Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards of Lousiana responded with a cynical statement.
“We welcome him to LA but not for a photo-op. Instead we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of the storm,” he said.
Turns out the Governor got what he asked for! On Friday morning a headline for the LA Times read, “Donald Trump’s challenge in touring Louisiana flooding: Showing concern, not opportunism.”
When Donald Trump’s airplane landed in Baton Rouge everyone was surprised. He far surpassed what was expected of a candidate. He certainly did more than our current President who cannot be bothered while he plays golf. Trump did not show up for a photo op or only for a few moments. He in fact came with an 18 wheel truck full of supplies to help all those in need effected by the flooding.

Watch Trump in another video below,
He set everything up in the parking lot of St. Amant. This area is one of the hardest hit by the floods when compared between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Trump’s people handed out diapers, water bottles, as well as a plethora of other supplies to those there. He remained for three hours and took a stop at the East Baton Rouge Parish Baptist church. He met with volunteers who were aiding in food and construction help.
One woman yelled,
“Thank you for coming, Mr. Trump.”
Another yelled while he was interacting with the crowd,
“We knew you would be here for us!”
They crowds yells to "Mr. Trump" but there is no doubt they would rather be saying "President Trump" Baton Rouge, LA https://t.co/d845wwnCV7

Trump justifiably took the opportunity to take a jab at President Obama who was noticeably missing. He made a comment after one woman said how elated she was that Trump wasn’t off playing golf, which is what the President was doing.
