President Donald Trump’s relief efforts in Houston, Texas was a vast difference from that of his predecessor who took days last year to show up in the devastation zone in Louisiana. Baton Rouge was under a deluge of water on Barack Obama’s watch at the time, but he couldn’t break from his golf game to visit the victims until his absence became painfully obvious and he was practically forced to make an appearance.
Despite this enormous difference in Commander-in-Chiefs during times of catastrophe, liberals have still taken pot shots at our current president, while exonerating Obama for his gross neglect.
Leading that charge, are entitled liberal celebrities who could help the hurricane victims, but are complaining about what Trump did or didn’t do there instead. If critical remarks paid for relief efforts, Houston would be totally restored and thriving by now, after all the trash-talking celebs have done.
Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. Now, President Trump has just shut 14 of the worst famous “offenders” up with what he just did.
“[A] group of brainless idiots that have been braying like the jackasses they are would be the Hollywood celebrities; they’re completely devoid of any political knowledge whatsoever, but they sure don’t mind jumping on the ‘attack Trump’ bandwagon,” Truth Feed reported.
While a few have put some money where their mouths are, it doesn’t compare to what Trump just unexpectedly did.
The president doesn’t take a salary but still reached into his own bank account and pulled out $1 million to send to victims in Texas. This made all the whiney idiots in Hollywood look ridiculous, who had spent the last 48 hours self-promoting their payout to the good people in Houston. A quick look at the numbers proves that when you combine the contributions from all of these anti-Trump celebrities, it still doesn’t total what Trump put in the pot.
Truth Feed lists it out:
Kim Kardashian gave $500,000, with Chris Young also giving $100,000.
Chris Paul gave $75,000, Jennifer Lopez donated $50,000.
Rapper T.I., Ellen Degeneres, The Rock, DJ Kahled, Wendy Williams, Kevin Hart, and Nicki Minaj all donated $25,000.
Ezekiel Elliot gave $21,000, Jack Antonoff and Ruby Rose both gave $10,000.
While don’t believe in punishing good deeds like liberals constantly do to Trump, so for that reason, the donations from these celebrities are certainly generous and will be helpful in Houston. We’re not taking that compassionate action from them. With that being said, however, all 14 of these people need to recognize the goodwill from the president as well and relent on their public attacks for his response in the area.
In addition to showing up promptly in Texas to visit the victims and his $1 million donationfrom his personal funds, President Trump sent in the National Guard, federal relief organizations, and even dispatching Naval warships to help all within the first few days.
Liberals were focused on everything besides his awesome outreach, from Melania Trump’s shoes to the number of hugs the president gave the victims. The left was so desperate for something to slam him for, that they actually accused him of running his trip to the area like a CEO instead of a compassionate person. The victims didn’t need hugs, they needed help, and are about to wake up to a very tangible way Obama never did.
There is certainly a time and a place for hugs and it’s at the end after Houstonians get their lives back together. This is going to take a lot of work and Trump is the leader to make that happen, which is going to take more than an embrace and a wave – which he knows.
Having seen the needs for himself, he knew exactly what would help and didn’t hesitate to send it to Houston.
Trump was so taken aback by the amount the area has been devastated by Tropical Storm Harvey along with the fact that they may never recover completely, that he put his own personal money where his heart is.
Trump isn’t just serving the nation as our president, he’s saving the American, not taking a salary for it, and now coming out of pocket to help people of a natural disaster.
This was the biggest hug he could give the good people of Houston, but it’s only a matter of time before the left contrives something sick from his incredible actions.
It doesn’t matter what the left comes up with to criticize Trump for, this argument is invalid since his donation was done with an intention to heal and unify the area. Democrats like billionaire George Soros and the Clintons have used their money with the opposite resolve in mind, to divide the nation and conquer the control they so desperately seek.
If running the recovery operation like a CEO is the worst thing he can be accused of in this circumstance, then it’s should be completely clear to everyone in America that he’s doing a pretty phenomenal job as a president. Taking care of business like this is taking care of the country and the people who need it most.
