Donald Trump just dropped down at Reagan Airport in his new home city of Washington, D.C. with his top advisor, Kellyanne Conway at his side. As the pair stepped off the plane, all eyes were on our new leader who left everyone in shock with what he immediately did.
It’s been a whirlwind year for Trump who started 2016 our as a candidate and is now starting 2017 as our president, which most Americans couldn’t be more proud to call him. The feeling of anticipation that he’ll officially be given that title tomorrow is palpable especially in the room where he went shortly after landing last night at about 8 p.m.
As a pre-celebration to Trump’s inauguration, our President-elect got off his jet and immediately went to the Chairman’s Global Dinner which was attended by a cast of people who would never be there for Barack Obama. Diplomats, politicians, donors, and even some Broadway performers were there as the first to congratulate him on this incredible success of becoming the nation’s 45th president.
Of the 300 guests at the black-tie event, some of the most notable attendees were “Daniel Snyder, owner of Washington’s NFL team, actor Jon Voight, Jeff Sessions, casino magnate Steve Wynn, Michael Flynn, Rudy Giuliani, and Israel’s ambassador to the US, Ron Dermer,” Truth Monitor reported.
In typical Trump style, he addressed the crowd with a clever quip about “his beauties” in his thank you speech to his running mate Mike Pence. “I had a couple of beauties I could have picked (for the job),” he jokingly said. “But they were good too but maybe wouldn’t have worked out like Mike,” Trump added. “So I want to thank Mike and Karen and I want to thank all of the people in the room. We have so many friends, 147 diplomats and investors, never been done before.”
Trump went on to thank one of his awesome cabinet picks, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who is going to be an incredible asset to the future of this country. “But I want to thank you all for being here. We have great respect for your countries, we have great respect for our world,” he said. “We have a man that I wanted right from the beginning, Rex Tillerson. Now these lights are bright but he’s around here someplace. Where’s our Rex? Wow. What a job.”
Trump was reportedly only able to stay at the dinner for about two hours as he had to hop back on his plane to head back to New York City, which came with a glitch. His flight was delayed by about ten minutes after airport personnel weren’t able to detach the stairs of his jet.
This stop was is last before returning for the final time when he will be sworn in and melt snowflakes everywhere who tried their hardest to stop it and lost. It’s the end of an era of error and the start of making America great again because we can trust Trump to keep his promises.
