Not only do we get eight years of conservative policies with Donald Trump, we get eight years of free entertainment watching liberals have an extended mental breakdown over everything the man says and does.
Thank God he’s following through on his campaign promises because that’s certainly adding fuel to their paranoia. Each day liberals have to wonder what’s coming next.
During his first week in office, he’s passed orders heavily restricting regulation, authorizing a 90-day travel ban from seven Muslim countries, a 120-ban on accepting Syrian refugees, two orders reviving the Keystone XL pipeline and Dakota Access pipelines, one which reinstates the so “Mexico City Policy” (a ban on federal funds to international groups that perform abortions).
The order that caused the most triggering of course, however, was his order authorizing the building of a border wall, cutting funds to sanctuary cities, and increasing funding of border patrol. While he’s still working on that promise to make Mexico pay for it, it’s still getting built.
And when will it be finished? Long before the next Presidential election, and right before it would be possible for Democrats to take back the House and Senate. As Truthfeed reported:
Today, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said he is looking to complete President Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall in two years.
“The wall will be built where it’s needed first, and then it will be filled in. That’s the way I look at it,” Kelly told Fox News in an interview. “I really hope to have it done within the next two years.”
In his first interview since being sworn in, Kelly called for the quick construction of the wall and laid out the need for a robust force of Border Patrol agents.
“Any discussion about the protection of our southwest border involves discussion of physical barriers but also of technological sensors, things like that,” he said. “But it’s a layered approach, and it’s got to be backed up by great men and women who are going to make sure that the wall is intact.”
Kelly also reiterated Trump’s claim that construction will begin within the next few months.
It’s about damn time. Every nation has an obligation to defend their borders – and nearly all do. The only difference is that it’s controversial when we do the same. Those days are long behind us. The border wall is going to be built – even though it’s over 200 years overdue.
