In the days of yore, our founding fathers had a brilliant idea for our system of government. Instead, of having a monarchy where there was supreme ruler, they constructed a system where the citizens held the power. Of course, over the years that has been diluted by the progressive left, but that is about to change.
President Trump ran on the campaign promise to drain the swamp, and his latest executive order proves he meant what he said. Instead of Trump asking the government how to fix the problems government made, he is looking to the people for answers.
“All Americans will be able to submit suggestions and ideas on how to make government work better for them, our moral duty to the taxpayer requires us to make our government leaner and more accountable. We must do a lot more with less, I will ask that savings be accomplished through common-sense reforms that eliminate government waste and budget gimmicks — and that protect, absolutely protect, hard-earned benefits for Americans,”
The announcement also quoted Trump’s campaign speech, which called for a leaner government. Trump signed the executive order with Mick Mulvaney, head of the Office of Management and Budget and a notable “budget hawk,” standing beside him.
“Based on this input, we will develop a detailed plan to make the federal government work better, reorganizing, consolidating and eliminating where necessary,” Trump said. “In other words, making the federal government more efficient and very, very cost productive. So we’re going to do something, I think, very, very special.”
In a news release, Trump stated he has directed the OMB head “to submit a comprehensive plan to reorganize executive branch departments and agencies.”
“Each agency and department will submit a detailed report including ideas for concrete improvements to enhance its efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.”
Isn’t that fantastic?
The left has brainwashed the public into thinking that government is the only answer to problems. However, Trump knows that is false and the answer to fixing government problems is the people. It is about time we have someone in the White House that wants to hear what we have to say, and seriously drain the swamp.
Now, this is what a true statesman looks like and I could not be more excited over it.
What about you?
