I read some of the articles from the Washington Post. Lately, it hasn’t been worth it because they smear President Trump and flat out lie about him. But once in a while, they get it right. This may be one of those times. According to WaPo, they have obtained copies of two Executive Orders President Trump is about to sign. The orders would supposedly “deny admission to any alien who is likely to become a public charge” and set up standards for “determining whether an alien is deportable … for having become a public charge within five years of entry.” In other words, it is a merit-based test to see if the immigrant has something to offer our country. This is not unusual. Canada and Australia both do this, as do other countries. Why we haven’t been doing it, is beyond me.
This is an attempt to cut off the freebie benefits that all illegal immigrants are getting right now, with special emphasis on anchor babies. New York magazine is reporting that the order would also “bar undocumented immigrants from accessing the child tax credit, even when their children are U.S. citizens,” which in effect would cut off benefits to families of anchor babies. The free ride is just about over guys. Leave or get legal.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, in 2012 approximately 51 percent of all immigrant households collected welfare: HOW THE USDA Helps Illegal Aliens Get FREE Benefits Paid For By YOU! This is a problem. A lot of American households also collect welfare, and that is a problem as well.
A liberal newspaper claims it has obtained copies of two of President Donald Trump’s upcoming executive orders that if implemented would once and for all stop immigrants from leeching off the American taxpayer.
Obtained by The Washington Post, the orders would reportedly “deny admission to any alien who is likely to become a public charge” and set up standards for “determining whether an alien is deportable … for having become a public charge within five years of entry.”
The underlying goal would be to make the U.S. immigration system more “merit-based,” so those with the potential to contribute to the country would be welcome, whereas those more likely to be a burden to the American taxpayer would be kept out.
According to New York magazine, the order would also “bar undocumented immigrants from accessing the child tax credit, even when their children are U.S. citizens,” which would be a huge blow to illegal immigrant families hoping to cash in on their anchor babies.
America should want only the best and brightest coming to here. This is a good start. Our welfare system is overburdened and on the verge of collapse as it is. It’s suicidal to just let millions of illegal aliens and refugees feed at the trough like this.
It’s one thing if someone comes here to be a citizen and does it legally and then falls on hard times and needs help. It’s quite another to come here illegally and immediately get a ton of benefits for doing absolutely nothing. It looks like President Trump may be about to fix that problem and cut off the flow of entitlements to those who don’t deserve them. Good.
