From The Conservative Tribune: World renowned martial arts action star and conservative activist Chuck Norris, alongside his beautiful wife, Gena O’Kelley, produced a short but powerful video in 2012 that called on Christian conservatives to get to the polls and vote — and warned of the consequences if they didn’t.
O’Kelley at one point spoke of the late, great Ronald Reagan, recalling his famous 1964 campaign speech for Barry Goldwater.
“President Reagan went on to say that ‘You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done,’” O’Kelley said.
The video, which quickly went viral, was a heartfelt plea by the freedom-loving couple, who strongly emphasized that they truly believed Christian voters getting out and voting on election day was the key for electing a strong conservative candidate.
“If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack. We’re at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we don’t change the course in which our country is headed,” Norris said.
With radical Islamic attacks on the rise and Obama’s foreign policy failures placing our national security at risk, Norris was right on the money.
O’Kelley pointed out then that numbers showed over 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home when it was time to vote in the 2008 presidential election — a number that could have changed the course of history, since Obama won by roughly 10 million votes.
Imagine how different our country might have been seven years later if he hadn’t been elected?
The point is, conservatives have the numbers. It’s a matter of energizing them and getting them to the polls when it counts, like next year when it’s time to vote for a conservative candidate with strong Christian principles.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a president who embraces Christianity instead of pushing it under a bus at every turn?
Take a few minutes of your time and watch their video — everything they said is on point and can be applied right now as we prepare for 2016.
