The Obama administration claimed to be committed to transparency and accountability.
Seems like we’ve heard that one before.
President Barack Obama made the comments during an interview with Univision’s Jorge Ramos.
“It was important for us, I think, to recognize that part of what sets us apart is when we do something wrong, we acknowledge it,” Obama told Ramos about the congressional report on CIA interrogation methods.
And White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest made similar comments during a recent press briefing.
But Megyn Kelly was having none of it.
“When we in America do something wrong, we acknowledge it,” she said, summarizing the administration’s statement. “We are transparent, accountable. We fess up so we can claim our moral authority, like when the president immediately came clean about his ‘if you like your plan, you can keep your plan’ promise?”
But Kelly wasn’t satisfied with naming just one example of the president’s doublespeak on the subject of transparency, and listed several more on Wednesday night’s “The Kelly File” on the Fox News Channel.
“When he sold us the ObamaCare mandate by denying that it was actually a tax, as he went before the Supreme Court to say exactly the opposite?” she added. “When his spokesman told us the White House did not alter the Benghazi talking points?
“When James Clapper lied about spying on all Americans? When Eric Holder misled about targeting journalists like James Rosen?”
And, of course, she could hardly fail to mention what history may someday recognize as the greatest flip-flop of all time.
“And then there’s the president’s 180 on immigration,” she added.

For an administration that has been labeled by American journalists as the most secretive in modern history, this claim to transparency because of a report issued by Congress largely on interrogation methods used by a previous administration is laughable, at best.
This is not the first time that Megyn Kelly has called out the Obama administration and senior Democrats for their lies.
Given that Obama has about 25 months left in office, it undoubtedly won’t be the last time, either.
