Those looking for a blunt statement about the dangers that radical Islam presents to American safety — and American liberty — are going to be disappointed with the response from the White House to Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
But they can find satisfaction in the comments of retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, who told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday that Western civilization was in grave danger from liberalism’s response to radical Islam.
“Political correctness is killing us,” the general said. “This is a prime example.”
Calling radical Islam “as evil as Nazism, fascism, and communism,” McInerney said that the West and the entire world must hold Muslims accountable for these atrocities carried out in the name of Allah.
“I think that the world better wake up — we’ve been doing this for over 13-plus years after 9/11 — and it’s time that people remove the political correctness and hold the people accountable with global public opinion,” he concluded.

This was not the first time that McInerney made such comments about radical Islam and the dangers it poses to Western culture, according to The Washington Times.
Last September, for example, he also compared radical Islam to Nazism, fascism and communism, calling it the “biggest threat facing America,” the report said.
“It is a global war against radical Islam. Let’s call it what it is,” the general concluded. “Islam is not a religion of peace.”
Winning the hearts and minds of Muslims who might otherwise become radicalized is, without question, an important aspect of what we used to call the War on Terror.
But while liberals want to fight the war against Islamic terrorism on the philosophical front, and on that front only, they also want to tie the hands of the West behind its back with political correctness.
Kind of makes you wonder which side they’re on, doesn’t it?
