Donald Trump has instituted a plethora of new and different policies since he was elected and inaugurated. Some people are happy with and others they are not. Immigration is a hot-button issue he has tackled.
From the immigration ban to his downgrading of the H-1B foreign worker visa applications. Watch below as he speaks to a crowd about the issue of foreign worker visas.
It has been reported by the New York Times that tech companies are sending truckloads of FedEx H-1B foreign worker visa applications to Washington D.C. and it’s all because the President has been cracking down on this abuse and corruption of the program.
Now they are trying to beat him to the punch by sending in these applications before his policies are instituted. Photos were taken of a truck full of FedEx buckets filled to the brim with H-1B foreign worker visa applications.
But their shenanigans won’t last much longer. The President is drastically reducing the number of visas that will be accepted by increasing the standards of vetting. Large multi-million dollar corporations such as Disney, Toys R Us, and Hewlett Packard truck in thousands of foreign workers through these visa programs in order to extort them for cheap labor.
The worst part is that Americans are forced to train their replacement. In his speech, he promised this would no longer happen and that his new immigration policy would bring more jobs back to the United States.
The steps have already been taken. The Justice Department indicated they will investigate companies they feel have overlooked completely qualified American candidates in exchange for underqualified workers overseas who ask for less money. Thomas Wheeler is the head of the Department’s Civil Rights Division and he said,
“The Justice Department will not tolerate employers misusing the H-1B visa process to discriminate against U.S. workers.”
Americans shouldn’t have to worry about losing their jobs to unqualified foreign employees. The President understands the importance of the working class and he is implementing policies that will bring the middle class out of the shadows. There is nothing embarrassing or shameful about that.
