Nothing says “Merry Christmas” quite like a swearing “sexist” Santa and a potty-mouthed princess perpetuating a liberal lie about the gender wage gap in America. The leftist groupFCKH8 has created what they believe to be cinematic genius, featuring a little girl spewing obscenities at Santa in an awful effort to sell T-shirts.
This ad is the latest in a series of equally ridiculous plugs which have pushed all the progressive talking points, including gender inequality, domestic violence, and gay marriage. The holiday edition of this shameless pandering shows a little girl dropping F-bombs and asking, “How sh*tty would it be if Santa were as sexist as society?” The bad Santa gives the female children toys with 23% of each gift sawed off, demonstrating the percentage of pay the liberal left would have you believe women are not receiving compared to their male counterparts in the workplace.
Despite the fact that the group is promoting the gender pay gap myth, they are using children to do so. It’s inappropriate in the least to make a child spew obscenities for a cause a kid could care less about and doesn’t understand. But the video’s director, Luke Montgomery, defended the approach in a press releasing stating, “We get that some adults are shocked with how these little girls are using a bad word for a good cause.”
Montgomery goes on to say that the real shock should not be what the child is saying for the sake of being silly and selling a T-shirt, but it should be directed at the “ugly” fact that women are still getting paid less than men. “This Christmas, girls deserve the gift of equality under the tree,” Montgomery added.
Too bad his ‘ugly fact’ is nothing more than a lie perpetuated and force-fed to those too naive to do a little research by none other than our own president. According to US News, the gender pay gap is a myth:
President Obama repeated the spurious gender wage gap statistic in his State of the Union address. “Today,” he said, “women make up about half our workforce. But they still make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. That is wrong, and in 2014, it’s an embarrassment.”
What is wrong and embarrassing is the President of the United States reciting a massively discredited factoid. The 23-cent gender pay gap is simply the difference between the average earnings of all men and women working full-time. It does not account for differences in occupations, positions, education, job tenure, or hours worked per week. When all these relevant factors are taken into consideration, the wage gap narrows to about five cents. And no one knows if the five cents is a result of discrimination or some other subtle, hard-to-measure difference between male and female workers. In its fact-checking column on the State of the Union, the Washington Post included the president’s mention of the wage gap in its list of dubious claims. “There is clearly a wage gap, but differences in the life choices of men and women… make it difficult to make simple comparisons.”
Children should be taught to be respectable and in the meantime allowed to live innocently without the concerns of the adult world — not made into puppets for a progressive liberal agenda.
