Donald Trump’s historic win means goodbye to the Obamas and the Clintons, of course, but it also means goodbye to some of America’s top entertainers … if they keep their word (fingers crossed).
Hilariously, Canada’s immigration website crashed last night, so maybe some are packing their bags. You have to appreciate the irony in liberals threatening to flee Trump’s bigotry by moving to a country more white than America.
I’m honestly hopeful that our celebrities will actually move. Among those on the list of those who’ve threatened to move are Lena Dunham, Miley Cyrus, Whoopi Goldberg, and countless other deplorables.
Unfortunately, as Western Journalism is reporting, most of them aren’t coming through on their promise.
No more book recommendations, politics, or amusing dog pictures for the immediate future. I’m shutting down.

Miley Cyrus, daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus released an emotional video Wednesday in which she said, “…we adjust and we accept, everyone, who they are and so Donald Trump, I accept you… I even accept you as the president of the United States, and that’s fine.”
She didn’t indicate if she was indeed relocating, but she did go on to say, “I want to be hopeful.”
Comedian Amy Schumer, another strong supporter of Clinton, vowed to move to Europe if Trump won the election.
Schumer told BBC in an interview, “My act will change because I will need to learn to speak Spanish, because I will move to Spain or somewhere. It’s beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It’s just too crazy.”
Actress Lena Dunham, creator, writer and star of HBO’s Girls, said she would move to Canada in the event Clinton lost the election to Donald Trump.
Last month, actor Bryan Cranston said he “would definitely move” if Trump was elected. He said he would consider a “permanent vacation” to Vancouver.
Comedian Chelsea Handler said in May that she already bought a house in another country “just in case” Trump were to win. “I will actually leave the country,” she pledged.
Here was Miley Cyrus’ meltdown:
Steven King, meanwhile, is “shutting down.”
While I don’t expect them to follow through on their promises, I hope nothing more than for them to keep making similar pledges in future elections.
Is there anything people hate more than celebrities shoving their opinions down our throats? I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a chunk of the population that voted Trump for no reason other than to spite liberals.
If voting for a particular candidate increases the odds of Lena Dunham voting the country, who in their right mind wouldn’t vote for them?
