What the hell is this woman doing in the U.S. Navy?! She filmed herself sitting for the National Anthem and doubled down on stupid and posted it. Of course, it went viral. And now she is facing discipline from the Navy… as she should.
As she sits there, you can tell the literal distaste she has for the National Anthem. This isn’t just a protest… she is disgusted. Then she pumps a racist fist in solidarity with Black Power. If I were in charge, and she is very fortunate I am not, she would be court martialed for this.
If she hates police and America soooo much, again I ask you… what the hell is she doing in the Navy?
From The Daily Caller:
A female sailor who posted a video of herself sitting through morning colors in protest of supposed racism in the national anthem is being disciplined by the U.S. Navy.
Disciplinary actions toward the female sailor are ongoing, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Navy told Military Times. “We are always doing training to make sure that sailors know the pros and cons of using social media, and they must always observe appropriate conduct, and they’re always subject to the UCMJ at all times,” she added.
The national anthem “basically says land of the free, home of the brave, except for hirelings and slaves and I just can’t support anything like that,” the female sailor said in the video she posted on Facebook. She continues “I think Colin had a really good point when he said we had bodies in the streets.”
She goes on to say: “Until this country shows they’ve got my back as a black woman … I can’t, and I won’t and I won’t be forced to [stand],” she continues. That’s your prerogative and it is the Navy’s to see that you are appropriately disciplined for your disrespect to America. Unfortunately, with the political atmosphere I see these days, she will probably get off with a slap on the wrist, but that is not how it should be. The sailor, who has not been publicly identified, is assigned to Naval Air Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Florida and is expected to be allowed to continue training.
The military requires all U.S. service members to stop where they are, stand at attention and salute the flag during the morning ceremony. Disciplinary action for failure to comply with these regulations is not unheard of and has happened before. A female soldier posted a photo of herself hiding in her to car to avoid saluting during colors in 2014. The female soldier was made to issue a public apology to the U.S. Army. I consider this to be just as bad or even worse.
