Hillary’s response says it all:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was all smiles Tuesday as she posed for photos while greeting members of the press now allowed to travel with her on her campaign plane.
Clinton was traveling in the new campaign plane she had debuted over the weekend, with new quarters for the media to travel, in hopes of ending some of the criticisms leveled at her for not communicating with the media.
Looking affable and relaxed, Clinton was chatting … until she got a question.
“What do you think about the new CNN poll that shows …” was as far as the questioner got before Clinton turned to leave the press compartment and started waving good-bye.
“We’ll come back,” Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, replied, with Clinton echoing the words a syllable behind Palmieri. Clinton indicated the purpose of her visit to the media was just “to say good morning.”
The poll in question, a CNN/ORC poll, showed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leading Clinton 45 percent to 43 percent in a race with all the minor party candidates factored in. Trump led Clinton 49 percent to 48 percent in a head-to-head contest.
