What Mike Pence Did For This Police Officer on Live TV Will Make Trump President

THIS is how you lead. Democrats don’t do this kind of thing but this is what it means to be a good American.

Governor Mike Pence happened to be in Iowa Thursday for a campaign stop when he told his Secret Service detail that they would be making a small detour. He told them to take he and his wife to the memorial site in Des Moines for 2 police officers killed in the line of duty.

He met to console with the Police Chief there and officers who were grieving for their fellow officers. There was only one media outlet there because the visit wasn’t announced. Luckily this news crew got wind of this unscheduled stop. Governor Pence and his wife solemnly lay flowers on the casket and said a prayer.

He had a brief conversation with the Police Chief. He told the news who was there that:

My family and I just arrived in Iowa and we just wanted, we just wanted to come by and express our condolences and our prayers for the loss of these two courageous officers. And just assure their families and assure their law enforcement family that Des Moines and these officers are on the hearts and in the prayers of millions of Americans. It’s times like this that we are reminded of the risks that men and women in law enforcement take every day and just before we settle in for the night, we just wanted to come by and offer a word of condolence and pay our respects for these two courageous officers. The hearts of every American are in Des Moines this night.
