MOUNT OLIVE, NC (WNCN) — Murder warrants were issued on Saturday after a man was found dead in the back yard of a Mount Olive home earlier in the day, deputies said.

The incident was reported at about 1 p.m. at 271 Zion Church Road Mount Olive, according to Tom Effler of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

David Vasquez, 47, was found dead from gunshot wounds, Effler said in a press release.

“After interviews of witnesses and the gathering of evidence the detectives were able to establish a suspect,” Effler said.

Omar Guajardo Acuna “AKA” Omar Ocuna (or Acuna) Fajardo, whose street name is “Twin,” is wanted in the murder, according to Effler.

Acuna, 32, who is confined to a wheelchair, is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, Effler said.

Acuna’s last known address is Hwy 403 West in Faison.

Effler said that Acuna was last seen driving an older model full size, standard cab Chevrolet truck, low rider style, two tone, burgundy over cream, or tan, with large chrome rims.

“Acuna is wanted for Murder and should be considered armed and dangerous,” Effler said. “… do not try to take action on your own.”
